MATT LIGHTFOOT OF SEWANEE-THE UNIVERSITYOF THE SOUTH, a senior forward from Germantown, Tenn., has been selected as the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 19 through Sunday, September 25.
Helping Sewanee to its best start in over 10 years,
Lightfoot dominated opposing defenses Friday and
Sunday. First, against Tennessee Temple the Germantown, Tenn.,
native posted one goal and two assists, in Sewanee 4-0 victory.
Then two days later Lightfoot was at it again as
the forward fired home two goals, while assisting on another
against Piedmont. Overall, Lightfoot has helped
Sewanee to a 5-1-1 record, while scoring six goals, with four
assists for 16 points.
