CADE OSGOOD OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Austin, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Co-Golfer of the Week for competition played from April 4 through Aprill 10.

Osgood shares this week's honor with his teammate Matthew Christl.

The fourth-ranked individual in all of Division III, Osgood tied for second among a field of 50 golfers at the West Regional Invitational contested Monday and Tuesday at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas.

Osgood fired rounds of 72-76-74 for a three-round total of 222 (+6) on the Par 72, 6580-yard course. His efforts led the Pirates to a first-place team finish in the elite field, including fourth-ranked Concordia University (Texas). Southwestern finished with at team total of 899, six shots clear of Concordia.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Matthew Christl of Southwestern finished in a tie for second after shooting a three-round total of 222 at the West Regional Invitational. Senior Redmond Lyons of Trinity climbed six places in the final round and finished fourth in a field of 50 golfers at the West Regional Invitational. He shot a three-round total of 223 (+7), just one shot out of second place. Junior Colin Uecker of Texas Lutheran finished in a tie for ninth after firing the lowest third round score (71) at the West Regional Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club. Uecker finished with a three-round total of 227 (+11). Senior Jacob Gentry of Schreiner shot rounds of 75-71-83 for a three-round total of 229 to pace the Mountaineers and finish tied for 12th among individuals at the West Regional. Gentry's second-round 71 tied for the second-lowest score posted that round. Sophomore Jacob Wade of Dallas was the top individual among the Crusaders as he finished tied for 17th at +15 at the West Regional Invitational.
