JAKE BELL OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a junior from League City, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competition played through March 6th.
Bell won the Schreiner Spring Shootout with a two-round score of 141 (-3).
He posted the tournament's best round on Monday, recording a 69 (-3), to lead heading into Tuesday's action. This is his first ever collegiate tournament win.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Jacob Wade of the University of Dallas tied for second place at the Schreiner Spring Shootout, finishing the event with a score of 143 (-1). Devon Horne of Southwestern University led the Pirates to a tournament win with the team's best score, 144. Colin Uecker of Texas Lutheran University tied for second place with a score of 143 (-1).
