JOSEPH WOLCIK OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Cleveland, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competitions played through Tuesday, February 14th.
Wolcik dominated in the James S. Litz Memorial tournament, posting three straights rounds under par to finish with a 54-hole score of 206 (-7).
Wolcik led the competition from start to finish, posting the tournament's lowest round, 66 (-5), to start, before recording identical rounds of 70 (-1) to close it out.
Schreiner was the only non-scholarship team at the tournament, and finished in third place as a team. NCAA Division I University of the Incarnate Word won the tournament with a score of 867 (+15), followed by the 2016 NAIA National Champions, Oklahoma City University. The Mountaineers posted a three round score of 887 (+35).
