ZACH BEHR OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITYA, a senior forward from Temple, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for games played through Sunday, January 15th.

Behr averaged 24 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and led the Bulldogs to a pair of home SCAC wins over Schreiner and Trinity last weekend.

Behr scored a career-high 32 and grabbed seven rebounds in an 80-70 victory over Trinity, and he had 16 points, four rebounds and two assists in the 74-72 home win over Schreiner.

Overall, Behr made 57.1 percent (16-for-28) of his field goal attempts and 40 percent (4-for-10) of his three-point shots. He also made 12 of his 15 (80 percent) free throw attempts.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman guard Austin Wells of Austin College had a strong week for Austin College, averaging 13.3 points and shooting 47.4% from three point range in three games. Senior forward James Sapp of Centenary College matched a season 12 field goals with a season-best 75% shooting percentage in Centenary's 97-81 win against Dallas after he added a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds Friday. Senior guard Jared Thompson of Schreiner University helped lead the Mountaineers to a 1-1 week with 16.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Senior guard Ben Stiver of Southwestern University averaged a double-double while shooting 63.2% from the floor, 57.1% from three point range. Senior forward Zach Behr of Texas Lutheran University earned Co-Player of the Week honors after averaging 24 points and 5.5 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to a pair of home wins. Junior guard Matt Jones of Trinity University averaged 15.0 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per contest over the weekend, connecting on 52.4% (11-21) from the field and 66.7% (4-6) from beyond the arc.
