Trinity's lead narrows in race for President's Trophy

SUWANEE, Ga. - Despite winning three of the league's four contested winter sports championships, Trinity University saw its lead shrink from 17.5 to 15 points as the Tigers seek their first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) President's Trophy since the 2004-2005 academic year.

The Texas Tigers swept both the men's and women's swimming and diving championships in Rockwall, Texas, and the men's basketball team took home its first championship since the 2005 tournament.

Trinity owns a 15-point lead (455 to 440 points) over Centre College, who narrowed the gap primarily on the heels of its first women's basketball title since the 2000-2001 season. The Colonels also took home second-place finishes in women's swimming and diving and men's basketball.
