ALLYSA WARLING OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior runner from Fort Collins, Colo., has been named the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for her run at the Colorado/Colorado Springs Rust Buster Meet.
Warling placed fourth with a time of 19:01 in a field of division II runners, including UCCS who is ranked #17 nationally.
Warling's finish is the best a Colorado College individual has had at this invitational since it began in 2008.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Laura Taylor of Trinity University lead the Tigers to a perfect score at the Alamo Classic. Taylor finished with a time of 18:25.6 at the 5K race. University of Dallas freshman Emma Kate Callahan, finished second overall in the UT-Tyler King Campbell Spectacular at 13:08 in the two mile race.
