DePauw women win sixth straight SCAC Cross Country Title

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - DePauw University extended its record team championship streak as the Tigers won their sixth straight SCAC women's cross country title Saturday morning at Plough Park in Memphis, Tenn.

DePauw defeated second-place Trinity University by four points, the closest margin of victory on the women's side since 2001.

First-year runner Taylor Stephens of Rhodes College took 2008 SCAC Women's Runner of the Year honors with a time of 21:30 - the second fastest 6K time in conference championship meet history.

Lauren Reich led DePauw with a second-place individual finish and a finishing time of 21:37. Reich was one of three women to eclipse the 22 minute mark as Emily Loeffler of Trinity, the 2007 SCAC Women's Runner of the Year, came in third at 21:43.
