EMILY NIEHAUS OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a first-year from Cincinnati, Ohio, has been selected the SCAC Women's Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted from Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 22.
In her first outdoor meet of her collegiate career, Niehaus finished third place out of 21 hammer throwers at the Rhodes Open in Memphis, Tenn. She threw 47.16m (154'9") which is a provisional NCAA Division III National qualifying mark. Emily is currently ranked #3 in the nation in the hammer throw in Division III.
