HANNAH KIPP OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a junior from Ledbetter, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, March 8.

Kipp was solid in her outdoor opener of the 2020 season, posting a PR in the hammer throw with a toss of 44.35 meters which was good enough to finish second. She also tossed the discus 40.03 meters, finishing sixth.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Camille Weaver of Colorado College won the high jump with a leap of 1.60 meters and won the long jump with a mark of 5.20 meters last weekend at the Puget Sound Track Invitational. Junior Jules Oliveti of Dallas put forth a strong performance last weekend at the Cowboys Invitational, finishing third in the discus (31.78m) and fourth in the shot put (9.35m). Sophomore Jaelynn Stewart of Southwestern took home fifth in the shot put (12.04m) and seventh in the hammer throw (40.12m) at the Trinity Invitational last weekend. Senior Makenna Bentley of Trinity set a new personal best in the high jump with leap of 1.68 meters, good enough for second at the Trinity Invitational.
