EMILY NIEHAUS OF CENTRE COLLEGE, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, has been selected the SCAC Women's Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets conducted from Monday, March 14 through Sunday, March 20.

Niehaus had a fine start to the outdoor season at the Rhodes Invitational this past Saturday competing in the shot put where she threw a personal best 39'5.25". This was a new school record and currently ranks Niehaus first in the SCAC in the shot put. 

Niehaus then threw the hammer throw where she performed a nice opening season toss of 151'2".  This mark currently ranks her first in the SCAC in that event also. She then finished the day with the discus throw where she threw 116'9" where she ranks Emily second in the SCAC.
