HALLEANNE DURE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior forward from Katy, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week beginning September 18th.
In a high-scoring weekend for the 10th-ranked Tiger women's soccer team, Dure came off the bench to lead all Trinity players in scoring during the team's two SCAC road victories.
Dure started her weekend off in style, netting her first career hat trick in the win over Texas Lutheran. She achieved the feat with three goals on just four shots in the game.
In Sunday's win over Southwestern, Dure again found the back of the net for her fourth score of the prolific weekend. For the season, Dure is now tied for the team lead with eight goals scored to go along with two assists, and one of those eight goals was a game-winner for Trinity.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder Kate Vidimos of the University of Dallas scored a goal and added an assist to help lift the team to its first conference win of 2017. Her goal counted as the gamewinner in a 3-1 final. Sophomore Dani Loeblein of Schreiner University helped lead the Mountaineers to a 2-0 SCAC weekend with a goal and an assist against Southwestern.
