ERICA COKER OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior from Frisco, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played Thursday, September 1st through Monday, September 5th.
Coker led Centenary to a pair of shutout victories over Belhaven and Lousiana College to begin the season.
Coker moves up to seventh all time in career shutouts for Centenary College. Her eight saves also propels her to third in stops in the career record books.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Julia Kelly of Trinity University led her team to a pair of shutout wins over the weekend while also recording a goal and an assist to open her account for the season. Senior Erin Rose of Texas Lutheran University played 200 total minutes and had 4 saves in her opening two games of the season.
