MACKENZIE TANO OF UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a senior outfielder from Wylie, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Player of the Week for games played from Saturday, February 1st through Sunday, February 9th.
Tano went 5-for-7 in a doubleheader sweep last Friday over Southwestern College (KS). Tano went 2-for-3 with a double and run scored in the team's 4-3 victory. In game two of the doubleheader, Tano added a 3-for-4 display with two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Junior catcher Erin Lewis of Centenary went 3-7 on Saturday in the Ladies' doubleheader at home against UT-Dallas and delivered a clutch, two-out two-strike walk-off RBI single to give the Maroon and White a 4-3 win. Lewis went 1-3 with an RBI in game one of the DH and then went 2-4 in game two. Sophomore pitcher Bri Wodtke of Schreiner had a big first week at the plate for the Mountaineers going 6-for-11 (.545), two doubles and two RBI. She went 4-for-4 with a double and a triple in the second game of the DH vs. Hardin-Simmons. Senior designated player Rebecca Snow of Texas Lutheran hit .636 for the top-ranked Bulldogs as the team went 4-0 to start the year. Snow had a hit in each of the four games and went 5-for-7 in a road doubleheader sweep of Concordia Texas. She was 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored in the first win over CTX. She then went 2-for-4 with a run scored in the late-game win. In addition to her .636 average, she has a .636 on-base percentage and an .818 slugging percentage. Junior outfielder Emily Vaclavik of Trinity batted .400 and held an on-base percentage of .625 to lead the Tigers in their opening doubleheader of the season against Concordia (TX).
