TESSA GALLOWAY OF SOUTHWESTERN
UNIVERSITY, a senior outfielder from Spring,
Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 7th through
Sunday, April 13th.
Galloway was absolutely dominant
offensive weekend as she led the Southwestern Pirates to a 3-1
conference weekend over Ausitn College to clinch the No. 3 seed in
the SCAC Softball Tournament.
Galloway posted nine hits in 14 at bats
for a .643 batting average including two doubles, one triple and
one homerun with seven RBIs and an unbelievable 1.143 slugging
percentage.
Galloway hit for the cycle in the day
one doubleheader, including a 3-for-4 day with a triple, homerun,
and four RBIs. She followed that performance up with a 4-for-4 day
including a double and two runs batted in as the Pirates exploded
for 20 runs on the first day.
