KEATON HOLT OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Portland, Ore., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ran Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31.
Holt led the Tigers to a fifth-place team finish at the UIW Opener as he placed 19th in the men’s 6k event, with a time of 19:30.5 that left him a mere 0.04 seconds behind the UIW runner.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Noah Dennis of Southwesternwasted no time making his mark in his first collegiate race at the Concordia (Texas) Tornado Watch Invitational on Friday morning. Dennis posted a race-winning time of 16:42 and averaging 5:22 a mile across the 5k course in a field of 31 runners. Senior John Jacob of Johnson & Walesplaced 11th with a time of 21:55.3 to lead the JWU men in their 2019 season opener Friday night at the 4-mile Terry Masterson Twilight Classic.
