JACKSON BRAINERD OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior from Littleton, Colo., has been selected the SCAC Men's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, October 23.
Brainerd led Colorado College to a second place finish at the Mt. Marty Invitational in Yankton, S.D. The Tigers were the only Division III school competing and out of 236 runners and 21 total schools, Brainerd finished first with a personal record 8K time of 24:42.

the #1 NCAA D-III runner to finish the race, but he bested all but
6 University of Texas at Austin (NCAA D-I) athletes, 3 Texas State
University (NCAA D-I) athletes, one Texas A&M Kingsville (NCAA
D-II) athlete, and one unattached athlete. Sam led the
Pirates to a third place overall finish (behind UT Austin and TX
State Univ) in a field of 80 finishers and 10 teams.
