MATT LOVE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from New Braunfels, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, April 8th.
Love broke the school record in the Men's Discus at the Angelo State David Noble Relays. His throw of 52.6 meters ranks him third in the country and leads the SCAC by nearly seven meters.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Kevin McGuirk of the University of Dallas competed in javelin for just the second time last week, throwing a new PR of 39.23 meters at the Bulldog Relays. Senior Tyler Adams of Southwestern University threw a new personal best in the shot put and broke the SU record with a toss of 13.46m.
