WALKER MARTIN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a freshman, has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for his performance in meets through Sunday, January 21st.
Martin swam season-best times to be a difference maker at the CC Classic Invitational.
He swam the lead-off on the 800 freestyle relay in 1:46.79, and was later third in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.97.
Martin also finished fifth in 100 free (49.29), led off the 400 free relay with a split of 49.10 seconds, and anchored the medley relay with a time of 48.77 seconds.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Jacob Toland of the University of the Ozarks won the 500 free with a time of 5:10.17, while finishing third in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 free in a dual meet against Henderson State. First-year Connor McClure of Trinity University won the 200 back with his time of 1:59.10, then took top honors with his time of 1:59.86 in the 200 IM in a dual meet with Southwestern University.
