BRIAN KOPEC OF
COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior from Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's
Swimmer-of-the-Week for competition through Sunday, December
21.
In a double dual with University of LaVerne (Calif.) and Austin
College, Kopec won the 500 free over both teams swimming at
altitude to come from behind for the win (5:23.02).
In the 200 free (1:54.89) Kopec was first against Austin College
opponents and third against LaVerne.
Kopec also marked a 23.02 split while anchoring the winning 200
free relay.
