MATT LIGHTFOOT OF SEWANEE-THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH, a freshman forward from Germantown, Tenn., has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Friday, August 29 through Sunday, August 31.

Lightfoot scored one of Sewanee's goals in the 3-1 Tiger comeback win over #6 Washington University on Friday night and then his first half goal on Sunday would be enough to secure the 1-0 shutout for the Tigers on Sunday versus Westminster (Mo.).

Finding the back of the net twice over the weekend puts Lightfoot in a tie for second in the conference in goals scored and was also a huge part in the Tigers first 2-0 start since 2005.
