SOREN FRYKHOLM OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior midfielder from Boulder, Colorado, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, Septebmer 19th through Sunday, September 25th.

Frykholm led the Colorado College defense that posted a pair of clean sheets in conference play last weekend.

In Friday's 1-0 victory over Texas Lutheran, Frykholm led the CC back line, with the Tigers only allowing eight shots. In Sunday's 4-0 win over Southwestern, in which CC entered the game tied for first atop the SCAC table with a 4-0-0 record, the Tigers tied their season best by allowing just five total shots, with only one shot on target.

With its fifth and sixth shutouts in eight games, Colorado College lowered its season goals-against average to 0.35 which leads the SCAC and ranks in the top 20 nationally. 

Senior defender David Arellano of Southwestern University provided an assist from the back line for the Pirates in the game against Colorado College. Sophomore defender Levin Dyson of Austin College had a strong week, helping the 'Roos to a 1-1-1 record, while playing a key role in the team drawing with UC Santa Cruz, nearly upsetting No. 1 Trinity, and coming from behind for a dramatic double overtime win over Schreiner. Senior defender Daylon Gordon of Trinity University led the Tigers to three SCAC wins over the last week, including a pair of road wins at Austin College and Centenary. Gordon scored a goal in the win over Schreiner to start the week, and  assisted the game-winning goal against Austin College.
