JOSEPH KHALAF OF AUSTIN COLLEGE, a sophomore goalkeeper from Sherman, Tx. has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Tuesday, Septebmer 6th through Sunday, September 11th.
Khalaf had a strong weekend as the 'Roos went 2-0, surrendering just one goal in more than 151 minutes of action.
Khalaf stopped 6 shots in all, sporting a .857 save percentage and a 0.59 goals-against-average in the two wins, which included a SCAC-opening win over Centenary.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman defender Vetle Masvaer Halle of Trinity University led Trinity to a 3-0 record last week, with shutout wins against Mary-Hardin Baylor and UT-Dallas. Senior goal keeper Ryan Whan of Centenary College produced his second shutout of the season as Centenary beat regional rival LeTourneau, 1-0 on Tuesday.
