TINO GAMUEDA OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a junior goalkeeper from Lubbock, Texas has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for matches played from Friday, September 18th through Sunday, September 20th. 

Gamueda anchored a defense for the University of Dallas men's soccer team that blanked its opponents in both victories this past week to move to 2-0-1 in the SCAC. These pair of shutouts were the first of the campaign for UD and included the program's first win in history against top-ranked Trinity University.

Gamueda logged six saves in a 90-minute effort as the Crusaders prevailed 1-0. Sunday's overtime thriller over Schreiner University was also a 1-0 match. The keeper stopped two saves as the defense limited SU to six shots in 92:35 minutes. Altogether, Gamueda had a perfect save percentage in 182:35 minutes.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore midfielder, David Ching of Texas Lutheran University led a Bulldog defensive effort that did not allow a goal in two road matches last week. Junior midfielder Sean Christy of Southwestern University posted one goal and one assist for three points on the weekend. Junior defender Jack McCormick of Colorado College factored in all four goals Colorado College scored last week, recording a goal in the 2-0 win over Schreiner and setting up all three goals in Sunday's 3-1 victory over Trinity.
