Makay Hansen, Colorado College, Offensive Player of the Week (Week 5)

MAKAY HANSEN OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a freshman attacker from Dallas, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Monday, March 2 through Sunday, March 8.

Hansen scored nine goals and added an assist as Colorado College improved to 5-0 with victories over Otterbein University and Haverford College. During Wednesday?s 17-6 win over Otterbein University, Hansen struck for season highs of six goals and seven points. During Sunday?s 20-3 thrashing of Haverford College, Hansen struck for three goals and became the first Colorado College freshman to score 20 or more goals in a season since Tyler Borko finished with 26 in 2016, Hansen accomplished the feat in only five games.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Jake Frederick of Dallas posted a career outing for the Crusaders last Tuesday versus Hilbert College with seven points behind six goals and an assist. His six goals were a personal-best along with 12 ground balls and 14 faceoff wins. Sophomore Nick Doxey of Southwestern led the Pirate offense in its most prolific game of the season, scoring four goals on five shots with two assists for six points in the Pirates' 27-1 victory over Centenary.
