TODD WARD OF
OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY, a sophomore forward from
Venice, Fla., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for
games played Monday, January 12 through Sunday, January 18.
Ward averaged a double-double, with 17.5 points
per game and 11.5 rebounds per game as the Stormy Petrels won both
of its games during the week. He also shot 15-20 from the field and
chipped in with 2.5 assists per game.
Against Hendrix, Ward scored a team-high 21 points and recorded a team-high nine rebounds while connecting on 8-of-12 shots from the floor. Against Millsaps he scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds on 7-of-8 shooting.
