NICK ROSE OF
COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior guard from Lakewood,
Colo., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games
played Monday, February 8 through Sunday, February 14.
Rose averaged 32.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5
steals and 0.5 assists to help Colorado College split its final two
home games of the season.
Rose had 32 points, four rebounds and three steals as the Tigers defeated Southwestern, 81-67, on Friday.
He came back with 33 points, seven rebounds and two steals the following night in a 79-78 overtime loss to Trinity. It marked the second time this season he scored 30 or more points in back-to-back games and the fifth time overall.
For the season, Rose ranks first in the league with 21.4 points per game, first in free throw shooting making 86.9 percent from the line and eighth shooting 44.7 percent from the floor.
