REID HAMILTON
OF RHODES COLLEGE, a senior forward from
Birmingham, Ala., has been named SCAC Basketball Player-of-the-Week
for games played Monday, February 1 through Sunday, February 7.
Hamilton averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5
assists, and 1.5 blocks per game while leading Rhodes to a
conference split against Sewanee and Oglethorpe. He shot 46.4
percent from the floor (13-28) and averaged 32 minutes a game in
the two games.
Against Sewanee, Hamilton tallied 15 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two assists in a 60-44 win.
Hamilton then notched a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds while connecting on 7-of-15 shooting (46.7 percent) in an 86-72 loss to Oglethorpe.
For the season, Hamilton ranks fourth in the league with 15 points per game and eighth with 6.5 rebounds per game.
