JOSHUA SCRUGGS OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Rosenberg, Texas has been selected the SCAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for games played Saturday, September 24th.
Scruggs gave the Bulldogs a big spark in the kick-return game this weekend again Hardin-Simmons.
Scruggs returned two kicks for 94 yards and had a 69-yard kick return to the HSU 24 that led to a TLU touchdown.
Scruggs also came up with a recovered fumble on a HSU kick return that eventually led to a TLU field goal.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior defensive back Adam Saunders of Trinity University led the Tigers with 3 kickoff returns for 129 yards in a 19-17 road loss at Chapman University on Saturday. Saunders had a long return of 50 yards in the game.
