MARQUIS BARROLLE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior running back from Ingleside, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, November 12. Southwestern University's Bryan Hicks also earned the honor.
Barrolle concluded his record-breaking Bulldog career with 215 yards rushing and three
rushing touchdowns Saturday against Southwestern. Barrolle scored on runs of 59, 6 and 6 yards.
Barrolle averaged 7.7 yards per carry, and he also caught eight passes for 34 yards.
Barrolle finished his All-American career with 3,991 yards rushing, 4,867 all-purpose yards, and 38 career touchdowns (33 rushing, 5 receiving).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:s
Bryan Hicks of Southwestern University threw for 312 yards and five touchdowns in Southwestern's 35-31 victory over Texas Lutheran, completing 25 of 43 pass attempts and averaging 12.5 yards per completion. Zach Trevino of Trinity University accounted for more than half of the team's total offensive yardage to lead the Tigers to a 14-0 win over Austin College. Trevino had 30 carries for 140 yards and a touchdown in the win.
