JAKE JONES OF
CENTRE COLLEGE, a 5-10, 195-pound senior
right-hander from Griffin, Ga., has been selected the SCAC Baseball
Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 2 through
Sunday, March 8.
Jones pitched nine innings of scoreless ball in
two starts during the week for the Colonels. Against Maryville,
Jones allowed two hits and struck out four. On
Sunday, again against Maryville, Jones tossed six
innings of shut-out ball while allowing just four hits and struck
out four to earn the win.
