WILL HAWKINS OF MILLSAPS COLLEGE, a 6-2, 210-pound sophomore infielder from Nettleton, Miss., has been named the SCAC Offensive Baseball Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, February 2 through Sunday, February 8.

Hawkins hit a team-leading .429 (6-for-14) on the weekend in helping Millsaps to a 3-0 start for a second consecutive year. He extended his career-long hitting streak to 10 games dating back to last year with a 3-for-5 outing in the season-opener and hits in the next two games. He also carried a .857 slugging percentage with 12 total bases, five runs, five RBIs, three doubles and a home run.
