NICK GOEHRING OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a sophomore left-handed pitcher from Phoenix, Ariz., has been named the SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played through Sunday, February 11th.
Goehring provided three innings of solid relief work, as he held Mississippi University for Women to an unearned run on no hits.
Goehring fanned six batters and gave the Crusaders a chance to comeback and eventually walk-off to a series sweep.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior pitcher/infielder Drew Waller of Texas Lutheran University made his first career start last week, recording a win in seven innings of action, allowing just five hits and two unearned runs. Senior right-handed pitcher Kevin Flores of Trinity University struck out 10 batters in 6.0 innings to lead #21 Trinity to a season-opening win over Houston-Victoria.
