SCOTT DWYER OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a junior outfielder from Sparks, Nev., has been named the SCAC Baseball Offensive Player of the Week for games played Monday, February 1st through Sunday February 7th.
Dwyer made his debut with the Gents a memorable one this weekend, helping Centenary sweep four games against in-state rival, Louisiana College. He had a hit in the final three games of the weekend, and is on a three-game multi-hit streak, including the teams lone triple in of the weekend in game four. Despite a hit-less debut in the first game, he did earn a ground-out RBI
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore outfielder Cole Wessling of Dallas logged hits in four of the first five games. In the contest he was hit-less in, the outfielder added one of his 3 RBI on the year. He is batting .500, and hit the game-tying home run at No. 22 University of Texas-Tyler on Saturday in a 2-1 setback.
