CLAY MALCOLM
OF BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN COLLEGE, a 6-2, 205-pound
senior left-hander from Marietta, Ga., has been selected the SCAC
Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February
28 through Sunday, March 6.
Malcolm earned the win in the Panthers’ 5-2
victory over North Park by throwing seven innings, allowing one
earned run, on just two hits while walking one and striking out 11
for a 1.29 ERA this week.
For the season, Malcolm is 3-0 with a 4.72
ERA in 26.2 innings of work. He has tallied 21 strikeouts and
averages 7.1 strikeouts per nine innings.
