BRENDAN PILGER OF OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY, a 6-0, 215-pound senior outfielder from Decatur, Ga., has been named the SCAC Offensive Baseball Player-of-the-Week for games played Sunday, January 31 through Sunday, February 7.

Pilger hit a robust.625 (5-for-8) on the weekend in helping Oglethorpe to a 1-1 start on the season. He belted three home runs, tallied seven RBI and scored five runs. In the first game against Maryville (Tenn.) Pilger went 3-for-4 with three home runs including a three run walk-off shot. In game two he followed that performance up by hitting 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
