Courtlynd Miller, Schreiner, Women's Golf

COURTLYND MILLER OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a member of the women's golf team, has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Character and Community Female Student Athlete of the Week for the week beginning May 9, 2016.

The SCAC honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics and serve their campus and community.

 

 

Miller has been a vital part of the successful Schreiner Golf both on and off the field the past four seasons. 

Along with helping Schreiner on the course, Miller has shown contributions off the field, also. 

Upon arriving in Kerrville, Miller became involved with programs such as the San Antonio Food Drive, Mountaineer Mentors, The Order, Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Schreiner President’s Council, i-Impact, and SU Votes.  Back home, she is also involved with HeartsWay Hospice of Northeast Texas.

A Cellular Biology major, Miller has volunteered in many projects such as assisting in a local food drive, community clean up, park landscaping, community building restoration, voter awareness, BINGO, and hospice care.  Ms. Miller’s work in the classroom has earned her is two Academic All American (WGCA) Awards and was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges (2015-16).
