JAMIE PENG OF COLORADO COLLEGE , a first-year runner from Temple City, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Women's Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week for meets run through Saturday, October 6.
Peng finished first among the Colorado College
contingent at the 27th Annual Fort Hays State University Tiger Open
near Victoria, Kan and is the first time she has done this on the
team this season.
Peng’s fifth place performance helped CC
finish an impressively close second to Northwest Missouri State.
The Tigers were the only Division III school there among nine and
defeated Division II Fort Hays State for the first time in school
history.
With her time of 18:37 Peng broke 19 minutes for
the first time in her career, averaging just under 6 minutes
(5:59.6) per mile.
