
EMMA HAGAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Overland Park, Kan., has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, January 1 to Sunday, January 7. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 8)
Swimming in her final meet in Hixon Natatorium, Hagan recorded two individual wins, taking top honors in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:10.50 before also touching first in the 100 freestyle with a 54.13. She also split 24.17 on the freestyle leg of the 200 medley relay and a 24.24 on the 200 freestyle relay.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Alexis Lee of Colorado College was as dependable as ever in CC's sweep of all relays against Roger Williams University this weekend. Lee helped the Tigers secure wins with the team's fastest splits in the 3x100 backstroke, 3x100 IM, and 400 medley relay. First-year Kelsy Elgar of St. Thomas hit the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke this past weekend with a winning time of 1:07.31 against NAIA St. Thomas (Fla.). First-year Madison Mitchell of Austin College had three very solid swims against Trinity on Saturday. She swam a 31.31 in the 50 free, a personal-best of 1:20.97 in the 100 fly, and 1:11.61 in the 100 free.
