JORDAN AZAR OF
TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from
Albuquerque, N. M., has been selected as the SCAC Women's Soccer
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday,
October 4 through Sunday, October 10.
Azar led the Tigers to three wins over the past week,
including a 2-0 SCAC victory over Austin College on Sunday
afternoon.
Azar contributed two goals and two assists to pace the
Tiger offensive attack, scoring a point in all three of the
games. Against Mary Hardin-Baylor, she scored a goal and an
assist, then opened the weekend’s action with a goal against
Dallas. In Trinity’s SCAC win over Austin College,
Azar assisted on the eventual game-winner in the
76th minute of action, keeping the Tigers unbeaten in conference
play.
For the season, Azar is third on the team
with five goals, four assists, and 14 total points. With her
assist on Sunday, she moves into the top 10 in Trinity history for
career assists.
