SHARWIL BELL OF RHODES COLLEGE, junior guard from Memphis, Tenn., has been named SCAC Basketball Co-Player-of-the-Week for games played Monday, December 20 through Sunday, January 2.
Bell was pivotal in helping the Lynx pick up
their first SCAC win of the season in a 85-66 win over the
University of the South on Sunday, January 2nd.
Bell recorded a double double with 23 points and
11 rebounds, and connected on 11 of 17 field goal attempts.
Bell currently leads the SCAC in steals with 39
(3.5 spg). For the weekend Bell scored 50 pts
(25.0 ppg), averaged 9.5 rebounds a game, 3.5 steals and 2.0
assists per contest. Bell connected on 20 of 37
shots from the field (54%) and 9 of 11 free throw attempts
(82%).
