Texas Lutheran, Trinity to Meet in SCAC Championship Game After Thrilling Second Day

KERRVILLE, Texas -- The top two seeds have advanced to SCAC Championship Game at 12 p.m. at Mountaineer Field in Kerrville, Texas on the campus of Schreiner UniversityOfficial Website | Interactive Bracket

The championship game will feature top-seeded Texas Lutheran University and second-seeded Trinity University. The first game is set for 12 p.m. with an if necessary game set to follow.

The Bulldogs just need one win to claim their second straight SCAC Championship while the Tigers must win two games over the Bulldogs to claim the 2015 title.

GAME 5 - #4 SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY 8, #3 UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS

Schreiner exploded for eight runs on the day and rode the arm of Lori Espinoza, who threw a complete game shutout, as the Mountaineers defeated Austin College, 8-0, in an elimination game at the SCAC Softball Championship. Complete Recap

The top-seeded Texas Lutheran Bulldogs erased a 6-1 and 8-5 deficit in the final three innings to force extras where Lainey Hebert came through with the game winning RBI single for a 9-8 win to punch their ticket to the SCAC Championship Game on Sunday. Complete Recap
