GARRETT GARZA OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior from Round Rock, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, March 31st.
Garza broke his own school record for the third time this season and jumped to the top of the Div. III performance list following a fifth-place finish in the shot put at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational with a toss of 17.39 meters.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Logan Henning of Colorado College finished seventh in the pole vault at the CSU-Pueblo Spank Blassing meet with a PR mark of 4.23 meters. Freshman Sean Majors of Trinity jumped a new personal best in the long jump with a mark of 6.99 meters which currently ranks first among all SCAC leapers.
