EZRAEL POWELL OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the SCAC Field Athlete of the Week for meets held through Sunday, February 24th.
Powell was a double winner for the Bulldogs last Saturday to guide TLU to a team victory at the Hardin-Simmons Invitational. Powell won the long jump with a leap of 6.20 meters and capped off the sweep of the jumping events by winning the triple jump with a mark of 13.08 meters.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Senior Kevin McGuirk of Dallas turned in a second-place finish in the javelin at the Hardin-Simmons Invitational last Saturday with a PR mark of 43.51 meters.
