LOUIE MONTOTO OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Field Athlete-of-the-Week for meets through Sunday, March 29th.
Montoto became the SCAC leader with his high jump of 1.93 meters at the Trinity Invitational last weekend.
Montoto finished fourth in the event with his jump, which is tied for the third-best in Trinity history. He also earned a seventh-place finish in the triple jump with his 12.43 meter jump, taking over second in the SCAC this season.
He is already fifth in the SCAC in the long jump, and finished 16th at this weekend's meet with a mark of 5.40 meters.
