THEO HOOKER OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior goalkeeper from Albuquerque, N.M., has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches beginning September 25th.

Hooker stopped eight of nine shots on goal to lead Colorado College to a pair of road victories.

Hooker recorded his fifth shutout of the season and the 31st of his career with four saves in the the 1-0 victory at Texas Lutheran on Sunday. He also lowered his conference-leading goals-against average to 0.59 and increased his season saves percentage to .842, which is second in the SCAC.

The Tigers moved to 5-1-1 in league action.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior defender Ben Sloan of Austin College had an outstanding weekend for Austin College, anchoring a defense that shut out Schreiner in a 2-0 victory and contributing all over the field in a narrow loss to No. 4 Trinity. Senior goalkeeper Ryan Benner of Southwestern University recorded nine saves last week, making strong contributions in the Pirates games against Colorado College and Dallas. Senior defender Daylon Gordon of Trinity University and the Tiger defense permitted just two goals on 17 shots, but also played their best when under pressure, allowing just three shots over the final 30 minutes to preserve the win against Austin College.
