DONTE
McGEE OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior
forward from Victoria, Texas, has been selected the SCAC
Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played through
Sunday, February 22nd.
McGee led Texas Lutheran to the SCAC Regular
Season Championship this past weekend, defeating Southwestern
University 75-63, to clinch a share. It also marks a tremendous
turnaround for the Bulldogs, who finished as the No. 8 seed a year
ago and will serve as the No. 1 seed at the upcoming SCAC Men's
Basketball Championship
McGee finsihed with 14 points and 12 rebounds, shooting 5-for-10 on the night and 4-of-4 from the charity striple. He also added a steal in the contest as the Bulldogs erased a second half deficit as high as eight in the come-from-behind win in the Doghouse.
For the season, McGee leads the conference in rebounds with 8.4 reb/gm. He is the conference leaders in double-doubles with 10 on the season. He is also fifth in the league in blocks with 20.

2.5 assists while shooting 52.4% from the field and 69.2% from
three point range. Freshman guard Travion Kirkendoll of

history since the 2000-01 campaign. He went 7-for-11 from the

in boards to help his squad lock up the No. 4 seed in the SCAC
Basketball Championships. Senior guard Adrian Johnson of
