GARRETT BIEL OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a freshman from Clayton, Calif., who is a kicker on the Tigers' football team, has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Male Student-Athlete-of-the-Week for the week ending October 18, 2009.
In high school, Biel was involved in a
student mentoring program for a middle schoolers that were less
fortunate than most. He also participated in a group called peer
helpers that talked to freshman transition into school along with

As a freshman at Trinity, Biel has already made a
huge impact on the football team as a standout kicker. He was named
