ANNIE ROSE LEGGETT OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior outside hitter from Austin, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 21 through Sunday, October 27.

Leggett posted double-doubles against Schreiner and No.6 Colorado over the past week, registering week-highs of 15 kills and 17 digs in the win over Schreiner. She also posted 61 digs averaging 3.81 digs per set adding 12 blocks, hitting double digit digs in four out of the five matches this weekend. Leggett helped Trinit'y hold Colordo College to a .076 hitting percentage, the lowest percentage by CC in a match since September 24, 2016, over the week the Tigers held their opponents to a combined .096 hitting percentage. 

Other impressive performances in the SCAC: 
Sophomore Ali Grona of Southwestern led the Pirates averaging 5.78 digs per set, including a 34 dig performace totaling11.33 per set in win over St. Thomas. Sophomore Ellise Anable of Dallas compiled a team-high 102 digs over four matches for the crusaders averaging 5.67 digs per set. Sophomore Georgia Mullins of Colorado College posted 11 blocked shots to help Colorado College hold its four opponents to a combined .105 hitting percentage. Mullins also hit .296 while averaging 2.69 kills per set while helping the Tigers post a 3-1 record. Senior Kelsi Menn of Texas Lutheran tallied 17 blocks over three matches including eight blocks in the three-set win over Centenary. Sophomore Mari Prazak of Austin College totaled 81 digs averaging 4.76 digs per set over five matches, including 70 digs amng four conference matches. Prazak also added 20 assists and three service aces.
