Brandi Campos of Southwestern, a senior defensive specialist from San Antonio, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 1st to Sunday, October 7th.
Campos averaged 5.21 digs-per-set totaling 73 digs in three matches for the Pirates. The senior also posted season-high performances against Texas-Tyler and Texas-Dallas with 27 digs in both matches.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Trinity freshman middle hitter Emma Funk recorded five blocks against Texas Lutheran in addition to 10 kills to post a .450 hitting percentage. Junior libero Anna Gurolnick led Colorado College with 59 digs over the weekend and an average of 3.93 digs-per-set. Freshman defensive specialist Mari Prazak led Austin College in its only game this week with 19 digs.
